There are so many possibilities when it comes to this Blank Heater Shield. You can leave it as-is, of course, and carry it into battle without any problems, or you can take it as an empty canvas, one that allows you to create your own shield design! This shield is crafted from poplar wood and overlaid with linen fabric, creating a blank canvas for intrepid artists to work on for their own personalized shield. This shield is modeled after the traditional heater shield, which was the successor to the kite shield. Heater shields were smaller and more manageable than a kite shield, and could be easily used on foot or on horseback. The shield also has a slight curve, which gives it a better defense when it is held in front of your body.
