DESCRIPTION

The Morion Helmet was popular with the foot soldiers of European armies in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is thought to have originated in Spain and would certainly have been worn by soldiers of the Spanish Armand This Mini Comb Morion is a miniature version of our full size Comb Morion Helm. This helm was a development of the medieval kettle hat. Consisting of a tall skull with a broad brim that sweeps upward to a peak at front and rear. Comb Morion Helmets are most often associated with Spanish Conquistadors; however, these helmets were worn all over Europe in the 16th century. Approximately 4" tall.
This mini Morion helmet is constructed from steel and fitted with brass accents. The inside of the helmet is blackened.
